Back to School Night その１

年度初めの説明会は夜の７時から。
子ども二人はりささんに預かってもらい、今日はYのに参加した。

先生がカリキュラムや、成績の付け方やらを説明し、教材費に使うための＄１００の寄付をつのる。
先生は昼間とは違って少しドレスアップしていて、緊張気味でしゃべり続ける。

教科書やドリルがのっている自分の子どもの机に座る。
すでにYの机の中は、整理していないプリントや、読みかけの本３冊などのせいで、ゴタゴタしていた。

机には、私宛の手紙があった。

Dear mom,
I'm glad you're here! I'm going to tell you some of the amazing things I did so far!
First, we each got into groups and made some Eaton School posters showing what Eaton means to the group.
Next, If you look right, you'll see some world maps. I know that some are mixed up.
Last but not least, If you look back, you'll see 26 clowns. there's 3 more on the sides.
I hoped you can come!
P.S. ここにいるのが二年目だことをわすねないでね。
